ABOUT US

We also do spit braai catering www.spitbraaicatering.co.za

The biltong manufacturing heritage started a long time ago. When my grandfather first came to South Africa he was an accomplished Dutch polony maker. After arriving here he went to work for a polony making company, several years later he started his first butchery in the 1950's where upon he made his first biltong and continued to do so for many years in his various butchery businesses. Then came my father who too started his own butchery business in the 1970's and also made biltong in his butchery businesses. In 1996 I too went to work for my father in the butchery business (Sloane Meat Market). So as luck would have I'm the 3rd generation biltong manufacturer in our family.

When you purchase biltong from us you have the reassurance that we only provide the very best A-grade naturally air dried biltong money can buy. (The easiest way to tell if you are currently purchasing C-grade biltong is to take a bite of some fatty biltong or droŽwors. You will detect a grease layer aftertaste that sticks your pallet. The fat from A-grade meat dose not stick to your pallet.)

Our biltong is cut by qualified blockmen ensuring only the best cuts of biltong meat are used in our manufacturer process. Biltong sticks that are trimmed and cut correctly will display perfectly in you resale display thereby driving up sales.

We literally sell biltong buy the "ton". In fact we sell so much biltong per year we should have started our own cattle farm a long time ago. However we understand where our specialty lies. It's in our top quality biltong production. What do we know about farming?
